Food is an integral, daily ingredient for life. Our thoughts and emotions are directly tied to the value and beliefs we have around food. We can change our perception on food so that we harness it as medicine. This can have a profound, positive shift in our lives. Personally, this is one (of many) way(s) that I took the reins of health into my own hands. I had been diagnosed with a 2 inch ovarian cyst several years ago and was terrified of the medical diagnosis and prognosis. I had already begun doing energy and emotional work, and added food as another layer to heal myself. After a few short weeks, on the return visit to my doctor prior to surgery, she examined me and found no cyst. It was gone and she had no explanation for it. Food, emotion and energy work are not just 'out-there' ideas, they are a reality for me and changed my life. I was fortunate to spend my afternoons as a child in the kitchen with my grandmother, learning how to cook. Below, I share some recipes that have directly helped cure myself from stress related dis-eases. At a fundamental level, when our bodies are given the necessary nutrients and supported, stress and anxiety decrease because our body is functioning better. 




1 Bunch Celery

1 Cucumber

1 Lemon

1 Apple

*add ginger root for more zing and to help upset stomach

(prefer to drink this in the morning, it has a nice alkalinizing effect for the body)



1 2lb Bag Carrots

2 Red Beets (without the leafy tops)

1 Lemon

1 Apple

*add turmeric root to help with inflammation within the body

(prefer to drink this in the afternoon as it helps cleanse the blood of toxins and doubles as a sweet tooth appeaser for mid-day)
